Impรฉrial Palace Hotel
Head to the public grounds of the Impรฉrial Palace Hotel for some of the best views over Lake Annecy. You can walk all around the small peninsula, but I recommend heading to the wooden pier for an uninterrupted shot. From here, Mont Veyrier dominates the background of your pictures, and on a clear day, you can catch its reflection shimmering in the water below.

Pont des Amours
The famous Pont des Amours (Lovers Bridge) marks the entrance to Annecyโs Old Town and sits beside the Jardins de lโEurope park. From the bridge, enjoy beautiful views over the blue waters of Lake Annecy, with Mont Veyrier once again visible in the distance.

Canal du Vassรฉ
Take a stroll along Canal du Vassรฉ from Pont des Amours for lovely views of the bridge from afar. Youโll find some of the best Annecy photo spots here, from shots of the canal waters looking towards the Old Town to the tree-lined view of Lovers Bridge framed by greenery.

Palais de lโรle
In the heart of Annecyโs Old Town is Palais de lโรle, a former prison on a tiny island. Not only is a visit to the Palais one of the best things to do in Annecy, but itโs also one of the most iconic Annecy Instagram spots. Head to Pont Perriรจre for the best views of the Palais and the colourful buildings that line the Thiou River.

Pont Rue de la Rรฉpublique
There are countless Annecy Instagram spots to discover in the Old Town, with its pastel buildings, flowing canals, and mountain backdrop. One of my favourites is Pont Rue de la Rรฉpublique โ from here, you can capture all this in one photo.

Basilique de la Visitation
Annecyโs hilltop Basilica offers a trifecta of views: the town, the lake, and the surrounding mountains. The short, steep walk is well worth the effort, and the panoramas get better the higher you climb. The Basilique de la Visitation is also a photo spot in itself, with its tall, narrow tower standing proudly above the town.

Chemin de la Tour la Reine
Youโll find even more great Annecy photo spots on the way to the Basilique de la Visitation, and my favourite is Chemin de la Tour la Reine. This charming street perfectly captures the Alpine feel of Annecy, with mountaintops peeking through in the background.

Plage dโAlbigny
Annecy treats you to some spectacular sunsets, and Plage dโAlbigny is one of the best places to watch them. This lakeside spot in the east of the town is beautiful during the day, but even more magical when the evening colours light up the sky and reflect on the water.

Talloires Beach
If you venture a little outside Annecy, youโll find even more Lake Annecy photo spots worth visiting. One of the best is Talloires Beach, a peaceful lakeside area framed by mountains. Fun fact: this view actually appears on the album cover of In a Perfect World by Irish band Kodaline!

Cascade dโAngon
Finish your photo tour with a trip to Cascade dโAngon, a beautiful waterfall just a short walk from Talloires. A forest walk leads you to this hidden gem, where you can capture the dramatic falls surrounded by lush greenery, as well as beautiful views over Lake Annecy.
